The Zodiac Animals Personified

A sustained investigation I conducted where I drew the 12 Chinese zodiac animals as I personally imagined them. My goal was to showcase these animals and the common ideas associated with them. For example, when I think of horses, I think of the jokes that start with "a horse walks into a bar", or rabbits being associated with luck, specifically their feet. These pieces were lovingly completed over the course of 8 months in Procreate. This portfolio was submitted to the College Board AP Studio Art leadership team and received a score of 5.
