Rainy Day - JOLT

An animation I did to accompany a story of preserving despite the uncontrollable forces of nature!

"We had reserved a table at Denton's Pulga/Flea Market, but it started pouring down on us. A little disheartened but motivated to reach our community, we closed down and switched to clipboard at Latino hotspots. We ended up at the Azteca Market where we met someone selling candy (tamarindo). We had a conversation and she told us she had just become a citizen! Karyme and I were excited to explain the process of registering to vote and how to use her rights as a citizen to be a part of the civic system. Although we did not register anyone else, that moment with her and seeing her excitement made our day worth it. Changing our community one step at a time!"
